I. Apricum

A∙pri∙cum [‘ah- PREE-koom’], Noun (II, N.)

Latin, from Apricus (warmed by the sun)

Sunlight, light of day

A sunny place

[Seasons]

Circa 2012. Drawn/ written age 8.

Seasons

seasons

seasons

for no reasons

Summer fall winter spring

It’s not the most interesting thing.

Snow Flakes

December 11, 2011. Age 7.

Snow flakes falling round and round

Snow flakes falling to the ground

Snow flakes falling everywhere

Snow flakes soaring in the air

Snow flakes falling into mounds

Even covering the whole town

Snow flakes never look the same

And because of that they should never get blamed

Snow flakes are pretty cool things

That only come when winter rings

Spinning

Circa 2012. Drawn/ written age 8.

I am spinning in circles

round ‘n round

spinning in circles way above the ground

can touch a star in a single bound

just have to remember not to look d-o-w-n

Spring

Circia 2013. Age 9.

The birds return from their annual vacation,

start chirping through the day

From chickadees to robins,

all birds have one thing to say -

it's that spring will shortly be on its way
